March 2026 Tarot Forecast

March 5, 2026

1st: Matronalia

8th: International Women’s Day

13th: Full Worm Moon in Virgo

14th: Total Lunar Eclipse

17th: St. Patrick’s Day

18th: New Moon in Pisces

20th: Ostara, Spring Equinox

25th: Lady Day

29th: Partial Solar Eclipse

As Fortune’s Wheel turns from February to March, we are eased from a state of thawing to active fluidity. This subtle shift occurs gradually, but the pivot is most pronounced as the seasons shift from winter to spring. This is when we’ll begin to see the full potential of the Lunar Year of the Fire Horse. Once our limbs are freed, we are encouraged to heed the name of the month in a literal sense, and “march forward.” Rather than breaking into a full sprint, we’ll want to take measured, consistent steps as we shift from inertia to movement. Mars, for whom the month is named, would approve of this warrior-like discipline. In spring cleaning fashion, we tidy up our routine for the march ahead. Heavy narratives are exchanged for lightness and play, space is cleared for flowers to break through the soil.

Divine feminine energy also pervades throughout the month, so that there will be plenty of room for organic growth and surprises. This is affirmed from day one, with the onset of Matronalia, an Ancient Roman festivity held in honor of Juno, goddess of marriage, women, and childbirth. Even before we have fully thawed, we can form a commitment with our goals, so that we can bring a long-held vision to fruition. International Women’s Day on the eighth solidifies this powerful divine feminine energy. On the thirteenth, the Full Worm Moon in Virgo softens the earth as life stirs beneath it. We’ll want to refine our daily routine, to maximize our blooming potential. The total lunar eclipse on the fourteenth invites us to close our eyes and tune into the darkest parts of ourselves–to really listen to and feel the needs that felt taboo, so they too can experience the light. On St. Patrick’s Day, we’ll feel new growth already beginning to spring from us. We’ll also be able to tune into St. Hildegard’s viriditas, the divine feminine essence that brings to us the same healing and renewal experienced by plants. March eighteenth brings about the New Moon in Pisces, further encouraging us to enter creative and dreamlike flow. Spring Equinox, or Ostara, occurs on the twentieth, releasing the last icy grip held upon us, so that we can truly “spring” into action. Lady Day transpires on the twenty-fifth, in association with the Goddess’ Crone aspect. This is an ideal time to reflect on the wisdom we’ve learned in the thaw cycle, and thank that time for its service. Finally, on the twenty-ninth, we experience a partial solar eclipse. We see our shadows once more with vivid clarity, and include them in the process of  our revitalized purpose.

Below, we use the original spread called “Bloom.” It is inspired by the overlay of a flower (a bisexual symbol of divine feminine and masculine fertility) and the symbol for the female sex.

Upper Petal: Aspirational Growth ~Five of Wands~ Learning to Fly by Pink Floyd

While in a frozen state, we held an idealized vision that our skills would remain perfectly preserved. We felt that when we were ready, we could pick things up right where we left off. As we thaw, it becomes evident that we have grown rusty. Instead of running, we must regain a sense of our limbs first. A part of rebirth is taking those first steps all over again, even if we have to crawl. Nevertheless, we are enthused–we want to refamiliarize ourselves with the struggle, to step out of our comfort zone, in order to feel like we are in the game once more. A big part of this month is regaining a sense of the mechanics; the rules, the parameters, our limitations, our abilities, retracing prior steps so we can understand where we want to go. We relinquish any claim on expertise so that we can grow with a beginner’s mindset, feeling a pride and recognition of self as we overcome obstacles anew.

Lower Petal: Initial, Day-to-day Growth ~Knight of Swords~ Knights of Cydonia by Muse

Our efforts begin as largely mental. As the Knight of Swords, we make huge strides with knowing where we want to go, what we want the big picture to look like. We can confidently communicate these goals with others and shape them into an empowering narrative. We are future-minded, headed towards our ideals, riding the horse of intuition there. Our active mind and clear articulation gives us confidence in our self and ideas, in knowing that we are on the right path. We know we have what it takes to make it through the Five of Wands state mentioned above; a sharp intellect, the ability to problem solve, and swift adaptability. Now, we must put those ideas to the test.

Left Petal: Growth only you see ~Reverse Three of Cups~ Comeback Kid by Sleigh Bells

The reverse Three of Cups reveals that we are quietly tending the places where we feel unloved and unworthy. We are learning about our parental wounds, the intergenerational trauma and patterns that we’ve inherited and embodied. We are learning more about ourselves, where our cup has spilled and continues to spill. The fruits of unproductive labor reveal themselves; poor investments, choices, missed opportunities, but we no longer feel mystified or stuck in a state of repetition. The map of our heart and the shape of our grief reveal themselves. We know what kept us frozen in place, and the ways we can thaw. The reverse Three of Cups asks that we face and acknowledge our pain and loss. There is growth in all this–a return to the self and the way we want to relate to others.

Right Petal: Growth others can see ~Seven of Wands~ Seven Nation Army by White Stripes

Others can see that we have stepped into a greater capacity to face creative challenges head on. Our process is mechanical and inefficient in some ways, but it has a power behind it that we can count on. We can sustain the creative flame for longer, and go further than we have before. We are learning to follow our passion, and in so doing, gain greater confidence in our ability to do so. Though we think we must impress others with our accomplishments, unrecognized until we cross the finish line, in fact others already admire us for our grit, determination, and ingenuity. Our inner fire has done a great deal of thawing upon us; thus people can see us returning to life right before their eyes. This life contains a youthful, animated spirit full of drive and ambition, the self that always remains accessible to us, even after getting put on ice.

Leaflet: What provides energy for your growth ~Nine of Pentacles~ Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen

We have done a tremendous amount of inner work, which reveals itself as personal wealth–energy magnified in a community that can tap into more, do more, inspire more, when we step into the right environment. To enter into a state of bloom is to transcend survival, to become a fertile expression of self and beauty. We recognize that we, at our most radical authentic expression, are a work of art, the flower, and our growth is the miracle. We flower, reaching our roots for fertile soil, for a healthy mycology that can witness and support this process. When we see the impact our growth has to offer in this mycology, we recognize our magic, the healing that is available in that simple but powerful act of simply being true to who we are.

Stem:  What gives rise to your growth ~Page of Wands~ Feeling Good by Nina Simone

To embody the Page of Wands is to become a student tapping into the wand itself as the origin of growth. The wand in this case reveals itself to be nature, viriditas, that power which we gain access to when we align with the true self in tune with the divine creator. Our desire is the thing which brings us into this alignment, which brings us into healing and manifesting energies. When we are so deeply in connection with this force, with divine intuition, whichever direction we may turn becomes the right path, because it is the path we have chosen to walk. We become imbued with the ecology of breath–inhaling the universal green flame that is the life force, and exhaling it through our being as we live in accordance with it. It is an undeniable, unlimited force that we can feel at the tips of our fingertips. As the Page we are still new to this process. We are still learning how to be in relationship with the wand (the vehicle of viriditas), still learning its shape. Our passion and desire is there but we may become hot-headed, delirious over the unbridled potential of life, love, the animating force in all things. To harness it, we must willingly become a channel and vehicle through which it acts, humble, reverent, respectful of its powers which we are learning to wield.

Tarot Forecast February 2026

February 2, 2026

1st: Imbolc, Snow Full Moon in Leo

14th; Valentine’s Day

17th: New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse

Under the influence of the Wheel of Fortune, the card of the year, we are encouraged to hone in on the minute shifts that take place as the seasons turn. This is where the magic happens, where we can position ourselves to take on the incoming highs and lows associated with Fortuna. This February, we can best do this by tapping into the energy of thawing. By definition, to thaw is to release from a frozen to a fluid state. Though February pertains fully to the winter, it is fast and it is fiery, alighting all in its wake.

On the first, this fire begins as a flicker, with Imbolc and Candlemas. Per the Friends of the Forest, Imbolc is a time when earth stirs from its winter slumber and light begins to return, symbolizing the awakening of both nature and spirit. The holiday is overseen by Brigid, the goddess of fire, poetry, healing, and fertility. The candles lit on this day, representative of our tender inner light, gently and steadily melt away old narratives, fears, and doubts. This time is also symbolized by the womb, and the blessing of seeds. This ties in well with the ancient Roman celebration of Februalia, a purification period associated with Vesta, a hearth goddess. Historically and presently, February is a great time to pursue new projects and initiatives we’ve hesitated to go after before, that we’d like to see bear fruit in the year ahead. The first also brings the Snow Full Moon in Leo–the culmination of snow leopard energy that we can use to bound through the snow with fire and confidence. On the fourteenth, we experience Valentine’s Day, the modern version of Lupercalia. Love is the force that ensures health growth and development, transforming potential into the manifest. Finally on the seventeenth, the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius takes place, as well as the Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse. Darkness encapsulates the sky, which we can paint with infinite possibility. With the energy of the Fire Horse, we are not concerned with marring the perfect ideal of untread snow. Rather, we mean to leave traces of ourselves wherever we go, even if that results in a trail of melted puddles. With fire hoof prints we reveal the earth’s bare skin, exposing her to the sun she needs to grow green pastures in the spring.

Mapping the Heart Spread

Below, I use an original tarot spread called “Mapping the Heart” to show us what love looks like in February 2026.

Aorta: How Love Flows Through our System ~Judgment: Shine by Cleo Sol~

Our higher self, connected with our divine purpose and calling, sounds a trumpet loud and clear, right into the ear of a deadened part of ourselves long held dormant. We may have let go of a quiet dream, always kept safely in our hearts–maybe it was too vulnerable, too risky to express it before. Love flows through our system in the form of awakening, resurrecting, thawing what was frozen since the emotional Ice Age. This blue, cold, shivering aspect of the self does not awaken alone and untended–on either side, the divine feminine and masculine principle greet it, offering wisdom and fertility to bring it back up to speed. Some gentleness and gradual scaling of responsibilities is required, but after a period of recovery that carries us to Spring, this part of ourselves will be able to hit the ground running.

High Point: Intellectual or Ideological Aspect ~Queen of Cups: Life Will Be by Cleo Sol~

This month, the intellectual side of love is represented by the Queen of Cups. She reminds us to remember our “why” and keep it as our focal point as we work in tandem with Judgment’s call of the trumpet. Though in the short-term it may feel easier to resist the call, in the long run we will feel more fulfilled and individuated if we can summon the strength of the Queen of Cups. She is in charge of a deeper emotional fulfillment, satisfaction and joy than can be found in a momentary surge of gratification. Love means committing to our why, because when we dig down, we know we are worthy and capable of fulfilling our heart’s desire. Our desire is not an external pipe dream we have to chase after–it is already in the palm of our hands. All that’s needed for it to manifest is consistent attunement, by tuning into our emotional intelligence.

Left Wing: Mother Principle ~Reverse Six of Cups: Evolution by Braids~

On the emotional side of love, we find ourselves longing for what we knew in the past. This is because we are looking for a map or a guide we can follow. We hope to follow prior paths in order to recreate what we understand love to be. This could be in regards to a partnership, a family system, or referring back to a time we know we loved ourselves well. But while our heart’s desire may have remained the same at its core, we have evolved our needs and wants over time. We’ll want to refer to the somatic and intuitive techniques offered by the Queen of Cups, to ensure we are meeting our present self’s needs and the conditions which make us feel loved. Our heart, our sense of wellbeing, of pleasure in the day to day, of being cared for–these are some measures by which we can understand if our heart is fulfilled by the Mother Principle.

Right Wing: Father Principle ~Reverse Emperor: energy by Tyla Jane~

On the active side of love, we feel uncomfortable in our seat of power. Some part of us became deadened or frozen, perhaps because we felt that we abused our own authority in the past. Alternately, a decision of ours resulted in some kind of disaster, and instead of transmuting that lesson, our inner Emperor was put on ice. Judgment’s trumpet is calling us to resurrect the Emperor-ie our personal sovereignty and responsibility in our lives, lest that role be fulfilled by others. As our inner Emperor begins to thaw, we are encouraged to familiarize ourselves with the scepter, by grasping it once more. In this way we can grow into the person we want to become. We can maintain a steady hold over our spiritual wealth by directing our energy in the direction of our heart’s desire, even as the Wheel of Fortune turns. When we form a practical plan, with a routine and steps to fulfill it, this makes our soul feel most loved by the Father Principle.

Heart’s Center: How our Heart Feels ~Three of Swords: I Don't Care by Ariana Grande~

Out of love, Judgment’s trumpet seeks to resurrect our frozen aspects so that we can awaken to our full power, which we will need to manifest our heart’s desire. Yet this part has remained frozen for a reason–for it has learned to associate growth with pain. At some point it was easier to numb this part than to feel the pain, and in this way we were able to insulate ourselves. It is true that pursuing love can be painful, but it is also deeply rewarding, and greets us with an intimacy with ourselves and others that the soul craves. Out of fear of being hurt again, we may have numbed a part of ourselves, but what we’ve come to understand is that we have become so much stronger than we once were, and learned so much during all this time. We are more resilient, more able to take on painful truths and struggles. When we tap into the Queen of Cups, our why, though it may be tempting, we will not want to numb this part of ourselves out again. We will want to rise to the call, and face life, in the name of self love.

Low Point: The Grounding Force ~Eight of Pentacles: Work by Charlie Day Wilson~

We feel most grounded in love when embodying the Eight of Pentacles. We feel we are in steady bloom when we enter a flow state, which we can liken to blood pumping through the heart. In flow state, we feel most alive, and can feel the love we hold for ourselves. In cyclical fashion, it is from this love that flow occurs. The expertise we seek–whether in learning to clutch the Emperor’s scepter again, aligning ourselves with our why, answering Judgment’s call, tuning in with ourselves, or tapping into courage in the name of growth–is attained by doing the work. We show up for ourselves time and again, learning through failure, melting away fear and self doubt with the steadiness of a candle. Each day we thaw a little more, and rediscover the fun, joy and pleasure that had been numbed along with the pain. This is where we find our satisfaction, and the fulfillment of our heart’s desire. For the love we seek is not a one-time accomplishment or achievement–it is a state of being that flows through us, warms us and enlivens us.

May we each tap into the love we seek.

Love,

January Tarot Forecast 2026

January 4, 2026

1st: New Year’s Day

6th: Triple Goddess Day, Three King’s Day

13th: Full Wolf Moon in Cancer

14th: Thorrablót

29th: New Moon in Aquarius

Now offering Year Ahead Tarot Readings, with minute insights for each season of the year. Book here.

As we usher in the year 2026, we shift from Hermit energy to Wheel of Fortune energy. The energy, or card of the year, can be calculated by adding up each digit (2 + 0 + 2 + 6 ). Everything we have discovered about ourselves and our path will now be put to the test, subject to the ebb and flow of universal will. This is about co-creation; trusting that if one door closes, another one opens, better and brighter than we could have ever imagined. This year especially, endings reveal they are beginnings. There is an element in the Wheel that is beyond our control, but we can still show up courageously and present ourselves before opportunities to see what happens.

On the first of the year, we are called to remember that all the hope, faith, and energy poured into this day can be accessed any day of the year. Every day, every hour, presents itself as an opportunity to start now. The “New Year, New Me” energy is like the creation of a novel, a macrocosm composed of smaller, more manageable units. A month can be seen as a chapter, the day as a paragraph, the hour as a sentence, the minute as a word, and the second as a letter. The path to fruition begins with planting good seeds and habits, staying consistent, and keeping faith until we see minute shifts transform into tangible results. On the sixth, we have an interesting dichotomy of Triple Goddess Day and Three Kings’ Day–one which acknowledges the cyclical shift of maiden to mother to crone, the other which celebrates birth, hope, and salvation. On the thirteenth, the Full Wolf Moon in Cancer asks us to consider home through the lens of belonging–who in our pack instills safety, confidence, and trust? The fourteenth ushers in  Thorrablót, a midwinter festival which honors Thor and other gods in the Icelandic pantheon. Thor is associated with thunder–that which follows the unexpected, i.e. each turn of the Wheel. Finally on the twenty-ninth, we experience a New Moon in Aquarius, in which we can envision greater collective communal healing–the macrocosm that affects, and reflects, our inner turmoil and success.

This month we use an original spread inspired by the structure of a novel, titled “Book Forecast.”

Theme: Reverse Lovers

~Heroes by David Bowie~

We enter the new year and the new month with the struggle presented in the month of December: that of the Reverse Lovers. Perhaps we encountered an uglier side of humanity–within or without. Perhaps we made a choice we weren’t proud of. These crossroad moments don’t have to define us for a lifetime. We can slow down, take these moments into consideration and learn from them. Though we may not have been in full control, we can still integrate after the fact and decide what to integrate. It is our personal narrative, our inner narrator so to speak, that decides whether the event occurred within a comedy or a tragedy, a horror story or a romance novel. We can always pull back and change the genre. We can transform our role from villain or victim to hero–at the least in our own eyes. Spirit is still working to pierce us with the arrow of love, and tilt the scales in our favor, such that the Wheel of Fortune is skewed in our favor in the month ahead.

Start: Reverse Empress

~Love Goddess - Maijah~

There is much fecundity available to us, but we do not see it. Rather than looking at ourselves with rose colored glasses, the Reverse Lovers card skews us towards a negative perspective. We think of all the times we’ve weighed ourselves down, not stood up for our boundaries, acted from an ungrounded space or given up our power. But we could choose to shift our perspective and think about all the times we’ve lifted ourselves up, defended ourselves, made time for creativity, centered ourselves, and shined in our fullest light. Reviewing how far we’ve come can help instill a sense of pride in ourselves and where we are headed, which is ultimately in the direction of love. In truth we have immense generative capacity from which we and all could benefit, and beautiful ideas and visions which we can birth and give light to.

Rising Action: Reverse Justice

~Karma by Taylor Swift~

The theme of Justice, which has repeated since the last two months, returns again in the form of rising action. From the space of the Reverse Empress, of Ishtar underground stripped of all her royal garments, we must rise to the Earth and the land of the living once more. This can only be done when we challenge Ereshkigal, Queen of the Underworld, and present our case, serving as our own defendant in the face of the injustice we have suffered. This injustice is not just personal, but extends into the collective, and the systemic abuses that have been stacked against us. Our souls deserve redemption, not just in her eyes but our own. For it is ourselves we must ultimately win over, ourselves who we must pardon, in order to see ourselves through the eyes of the Lovers once more.

Climax: Six of Cups

~O-o-h Child by The Five Stairsteps~

We reach a developmental climax with the Six of Cups, when we recognize our personal values, and reward them to ourselves as compensation. Injustice, suffering, and a wounded self esteem or self image can be addressed with reparations. We deserve to return to an Edenic child-like state, a state of innocence, love, curiosity, and awe. The world once more becomes a magical web of opportunity and play when we meet our inner child’s needs. Safety, comfort, patient parenting, gentle understanding of our mistakes, emotional soothing, care, and love are things we all need at our core. From here we can develop a secure attachment style, and bravely push the bounds of the imagination, explore our surroundings, expand our social network, and learn new things. This month we encounter a new spiral of human development: a time when our spirit is still learning to crawl, and we celebrate it for each new progress (the metaphorical version of a new tooth, or saying our first word). Time in each stage is precious, and so we don’t want to rush through to the part where we walk or run. Instead we cherish every win, and marvel at the fact that we’ve been given the honor of witnessing every miracle of our growth.

Denouement: Reverse Three of Swords

~no tears left to cry by Ariana Grande~

In our falling action, the balm of the Six of Cups helps us to release the pain experienced with the first three cards of the spread: the Reverse Lovers, Reverse Empress, and Reverse Justice. These are trauma cards that we thought defined us: the tears in our fabric, the gaping holes, the places where we’ve felt worn thin. But we have the ability to patch ourselves up again, to repurpose, or make ourselves anew. As mentioned last month, we are wabi sabi, mending our cracks with brilliant gold that only adds to our worth. Yes we have suffered, but we have not given up or fallen apart–we have persisted, and held onto the beautiful parts of the soul–empathy, kindness, compassion, not just for the other but for ourselves.

End: Eight of Wands

~Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys~

This story concludes with the Eight of Wands, though we know with the Wheel that an end is just a beginning. The Eight of Wands is that propelling force that launches us towards our desires. No longer encumbered by the wounds of the past, restored by the Six of Cups, we fly free, and get to see all that we are and can be. With one arrow, we have the Lovers, with another we have the Empress, with another Justice…all the powerful traits in these cards exist in our arsenal, ready to fire us up and light the way. The arrow may not strike every time–after all we may encounter errant wind or a moving target, but what we discover is that we are an archer, and we can only improve with practice. Thus we have potential to bring an ardent fire into next brief month, and fly on the heels of time.
