We're grateful for you.
You might not know this, but this ming+ming community if not only for you. It's for us too.
When we first started on this healing journey about 5 years ago, we were frustrated and didn't know where to start. We were stressed all the time and hiding our struggles from our friends, our families, and from each other. We felt ashamed that we couldn't figure out how to fix ourselves. And we definitely didn't WANT to change because we had worked so hard to build our beautiful lives.
But we had to change. The trajectory of our lives was not sustainable, but the wellness industry was overwhelming and we didn't know who to trust.
So we trusted in each other. We shared our fears, our traumas, our shame, our inspirations, and our dreams of a life of freedom from the stresses we were living everyday. We supported each other to try new tools. We shared articles, podcasts, and books that helped give us deeper understanding into our stuckness.
And then we realized that we weren't meant to do this alone.
Nobody WANTS to change. Nobody WANTS to feel uncomfortable. But when you're ready for change, you need a community to support you. Every week, we are humbled and inspired by the support and insight shared in our ming+ming classes.
And every week, we log-in as students. Not because it's our company, but because we need it too.
We are still works-in-progress, but we can truly say that we're enjoying the lives we work so hard to create. That's something we couldn't imagine 5 short years ago.
If you can relate to our story and dream of freedom from the stresses of your daily life, start here. Let's chat about how we can help you move forward with confidence.
With love,

ENGAGE with ming+ming meditation
One of the most powerful discoveries we’ve made on our healing journeys is that we are not supposed to do this alone.
For years we both suffered in silence. We thought our problems weren’t real problems, so who would want to hear us complain about our privileged life? We felt lost and ashamed that we weren’t enjoying the lives we were working so hard to create. We didn’t let anyone know (not even each other!) since we thought something must be wrong with us.
Now that we can reflect on these parts of our journey, we recognize that we were wrong to think we couldn’t share our honest and true emotions. We now realize how disconnected we were with ourselves when we couldn’t even validate our own feelings.
When we first started to share our personal healing journeys on ming+ming, we didn’t understand the full potency of this tool until we started to build our community. Now we know that the power of sharing our story helps to heal ourselves AND to help others on their healing journeys.
ming+ming ENGAGE step 9 is Your Story + Our Community.
When we find the courage to share our true emotions, the shame fades as others nod their heads and show solidarity. The fear of the unknown dissipates as we connect over similar experiences. And the limiting belief that something is wrong with us begins to break down when we connect over our struggles.
Telling our story is a powerful tool that jump-started our healing journeys. It allowed us to validate our emotions and forgive past mistakes, and helped us to realize we have the power to change our story if we have the courage to do things differently.
Are you ready to share your story?
Are you ready to do things differently?
Are you ready to truly be seen and heard in a safe space with like-minded people?

check in with my community
Before the pandemic, the idea of finding an honest and open online community was not something I was looking for (nor did I have time for). I checked in with my friends at happy hour, brunch, work, and through texts and phone calls. I felt like I didn't have enough time to add another community to my schedule and I didn't think I needed one.
But now that I've been checking in with my community weekly for over 2 years during our ming+ming meditation classes, I really feel the benefit of this one hour per week. Although I'm considered the "teacher" of the class, what I'm actually doing is holding space for our community to check-in and I also feel like a participant in the community.
We share when things are good but we usually share our stories when things are frustrating, annoying, and depressing. This check-in can be uncomfortable but every week we are met with love, understanding, and support in our ming+ming community. And ultimately, each of us keeps showing up, every week, checking-in and recognizing the ebb and flow of our progress moving forward.
Today, I can't imagine where I would be without my community. I started out teaching them but ultimately, they are the ones teaching me too.
With love,
Ming-Wai
